PIARC (World Road Association), founded in 1909 and comprising over 120 member governments globally, serves as a forum for exchanging knowledge and experience on road and transport policies and practices. With consultative status to the UN's Economic and Social Council, PIARC contributes to sustainable global development in the road sector.

PIARC Road Academy continues to expand its training programme with a new session for road professionals. On 13 October 2026, the fifth session of the Work Zone Safety and Management course will focus on the role of technology and data in managing safer and more efficient work zones.
