Registration is now open for the XXVIII World Road Congress, organised by PIARC (World Road Association) and the Canadian Organizing Committee. Taking place at the Vancouver Convention Centre from 4 to 8 October 2027, the Congress will bring together road administrations, operators, researchers, industry professionals, academics and other experts from around the world under the theme “Paving the Road to a Cleaner Future”.
With participants from more than 120 countries and more than 4,000 transportation professionals expected to attend, Vancouver 2027 will provide a unique international platform to exchange knowledge, share experience and explore innovative solutions for the future of road infrastructure and transport.
A comprehensive programme for the future of roads
Over five days, participants will have the opportunity to take part in a wide-ranging technical and professional programme, including expert-led sessions, technical sessions, interactive panels, workshops, poster sessions, technical tours and networking opportunities.
The Congress will address key challenges and opportunities for the road sector, with discussions structured around major areas including Road Administration, Mobility, Safety and Sustainability, Resilience and Digitalisation, with decarbonisation as an important cross-cutting priority.
The Call for Abstracts for Vancouver 2027 has generated a strong international response, with abstracts received from more than 90 countries. This demonstrates the strong interest of the global road community in contributing to the discussions and sharing knowledge and experience at the Congress.
