PIARC (World Road Association), founded in 1909 and comprising 125 member governments from all over the world, is the global forum for exchange of knowledge and experience on roads, road transport policies and practices. With consultative status to the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations, the Association is contributing to a stable and sustainable global development of the road and transport sector.

PIARC events

PIARC (World Road Association) regularly organises international exchanges on technical topics around the world: international seminars in low- and middle-income countries, and workshops in higher-income countries.

PIARC also organises major congresses every four years: the World Road Congress and the International Winter Road Congress.

These exchange opportunities are open to all, upon registration.

In addition, the Association's Committees and bodies also meet very regularly to share knowledge among members. These meetings are not open.

At national level, PIARC National Committees organise meetings and seminars, which allow knowledge to be shared among experts from the country.

Finally, the Association also participates in events organised by other organisations in order to share experiences and develop its partnerships.
