Featured Programme: Work Zone Safety and Management

A Global First in Work Zone Training

The Academy’s inaugural programme focuses on Work Zone Safety and Management, one of the most critical and high-risk aspects of road network operations.

Built on the PIARC Integrated Framework for Work Zone Management, this course translates global research and field experience into practical guidance.

Why This Programme Matters?

Work zones present persistent challenges worldwide, including:

  • High safety risks for workers and road users
  • Disruptions to mobility and network performance
  • Gaps between policy and on-site implementation

This programme helps organisations move beyond compliance-based approaches toward risk-based, performance-driven management.

Outcomes for Your Organisation

Participants will gain the tools and knowledge to:

  • Reduce operational and safety risks in work zones
  • Benchmark performance using a global maturity framework
  • Strengthen contractor and project delivery practices

  • Enable better, faster decision-making in complex environments

The result: safer roads, more efficient delivery, and stronger public trust.
