PIARC is unique, a truly member-driven organization built on two essential pillars, its governance bodies and its technical community. Both play a critical role in shaping our direction and delivering impact. Having worked closely over the years with both, I understand their perspectives, and I’m committed to supporting them and strengthening the connection between the two. It’s from this vantage point that I’m especially excited to be taking on the role of Deputy Secretary General and to continue working with you in this new capacity. 

As we look toward PIARC’s next century, my priority will be to listen closely to our members, better understand their needs, and ensure our work continues to respond in a practical and meaningful way. We know there are challenges ahead, but also real opportunities, and I believe we are well positioned to take them on together. This also means continuing to foster a community that reflects a diversity of perspectives, which ultimately makes our work stronger. 

And then… PIARC’s next XXVIII World Road Congress Vancouver 2027. I can’t wait to welcome the world to my home country and build something truly memorable together.
