Bamboo-Geotextile System for Road Embankment on Soft Soil
In Malaysia, the coastal plains are predominantly covered with soft clay, a feature that poses significant engineering challenges such as high compressibility and low bearing capacity. With increasing demand for land for infrastructure, engineers face the dual challenge of building on these unstable soils while managing costs and sustainability. Given these constraints, innovative solutions using nature sources like bamboo offer a promising approach for effective and environmentally friendly soil stabilization.
