Definition : Methodological approach which draws its principles from an updated overview of the work of many scientists and academics through the world, based on the regeneration rate for the environment, and on equity in the efficient use of resources for society. Notes: 1. The methodology was developed in Sweden by Dr Karl-Henrik Robert. It builds consensus around four core principles: regenerative use, assimilative capacity, productive adaptation, and equitable redistribution. 2. This approach is well-established in Canada, United States, New Zealand, Australia, United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Norway, Denmark and Sweden, both in the public sector and in private companies.
