Term of the Road Dictionary

  • Definition : Ratio of the force applied to the pavement by a wheel/axle while the vehicle is travelling at speed to the static wheel/axle load. Note: by extension, the gross impact factor is the sum of the forces applied by all the axles of a vehicle (may be measured at the same time or at the same place) divided by the static gross weight [COST 323].

  • Definition : Verhältnis zwischen der Rad- bzw. Achslast eines in Bewegung befindlichen Fahrzeuges auf die Strasse und der statischen Last dieses Rades bzw. dieser Achse. Anmerkung: unter Faktor für die dynamische Gesamtbelastung versteht man das Verhältnis zwischen der Summe aller durch die Achsen eines Fahrzeuges (gemessen zur selben Zeit und am selbem Ort) aufgebrachten Kräfte und dem statischen Gesamtgewicht [COST 323].
