  • Definition : 1. Documented scheme of assigned responsibilities, actions and procedures to be followed should an emergency situation develop. 2. Specific planned response to an event which is possible to occur. 3. Plan used by a covered entity or business unit to respond to a specific system failure or disruption of operation. Note: a contingency plan may use any number and amount of resources.
