  • Definition : Method of prestressing concrete in which each individual cable is provided with permanent freedom of movement relative to the concrete, by coating each individual tendon with a generally lithium-based grease and covering it by a plastic sheathing formed in an extrusion process. Note: the transfer of tension to the concrete is achieved by the steel cable acting against steel anchors embedded in the perimeter of the slab.
