  • Definition : Antiskidding treatment removing a thin layer of mortar and leaving a mosaic of aggregates at the surface of a newly laid concrete pavement. Note: in the chemical process it consists in spraying a retarding agent on the concrete and then to cover it with a polyethylene sheet, which is followed the next day by dry or wet brushing of the surface.
