cationic emulsion

  • Definition : Bitumen emulsion in which the emulsifier (an acid soap usually obtained by the action of hydrochloric acid on one or two amines) imparts positive charges to the dispersed bitumen particles. Note: cationic emulsions are less dependent for their adhesion on the nature of the materials, traffic levels and weather conditions during laying.

  • Definition : Bitumenemulsion, in der der Emulgator (eine saure Seife, gewöhnlich durch die Reaktion von Chlorhydratsäure mit einer oder zwei Aminen gewonnen) den verteilten Bitumenteilchen positive Ladungen verleiht. Beachte: Kationische Emulsionen sind weniger abhängig von der Natur des Materials, der Verkehrbelastung und den Wetterverhältnissen beim Einbau.
