  • Definition : Fleet of vehicles that provide rapid assistance to motorists involved in road incidents to safely minimize any disruption to traffic. Notes: 1. Service patrol vehicles responding to an incident (flat tire, accident, fuel leak, etc.) may push vehicles blocking traffic to the road shoulder to free road lanes quickly. 2. The information on incidents recorded by road service patrols may be shared with various traffic management and maintenance and construction systems, as well as with traveller information systems [OQLF].
