PIARC is pleased to announce the appointment of new officers for its Communication Commission. Congratulations to Claudine Tremblay, the new President, and to Sheena Carrigan, Vice-President!

Changes in the direction of PIARC's Communication Commission!

President of the Communication Commission

Claudine has been collaborating with PIARC since 2003. She was part of the organizing committee of the 2010 International Winter Road Congress in Quebec as communications and promotion officer. She has been a member of PIARC's Council and Executive Committee for several years, in addition to having previously collaborated on the Strategic Plan Commission, and having worked as Technical Advisor for the Infrastructures Theme and General Secretary of the PIARC-Québec National Committee. A graduate in Writing-Communication as well as in Leisure, Culture and Tourism, she worked for 10 years as a senior advisor in international affairs and is now Director of Research and Innovation Coordination at the Ministry of Transport of Quebec.

Vice-President of the Communication Commission

Sheena joined PIARC in April of this year when she assumed the role of Program Manager—Communications for the XVI World Winter Service and Road Resilience Congress which Canada is proud to host in beautiful Calgary, Alberta. Sheena has worked in the communications field in the Government of Canada since 1989, and also as a communications consultant with NATO for two years. She has an MBA in Public Relations and Communications Management.
