7th World Road Congress - Munich 1934

The Congress took place in Munich from 3 to 8 September 1934. The closing ceremony was held in Berlin at Kroll Opera, on 19 September 1934.

Sixty-four countries were represented, with more than 2100 delegates.

For the first time, the issue of road safety is addressed clearly in a Question of the Congress. Just as for the Milan Congress, emphasis is laid on the development of motorways.

The congress was overtly political. The National Socialist regime turned it into a forum for its ideas. The tours and excursions organized for the delegates further stressed that aspect of the Congress.
