Work Zones Safety and Management: Join PIARC training course!

Please join us for a new professional development opportunity through the PIARC Roads Academy on Work Zones Safety and Management.

This is a six-part series, planned once per month from June to November 2026 in English, French and Spanish with support in other languages.

Context and challenges

Road Work Zones represent a major challenge in terms of safety for road workers and users, traffic management and network performance. To support road authorities and practitioners, PIARC, the World Road Association, has developed a global Integrated Framework for the Management of Road, based on the Management of Road Worksites Special Project.

This framework is supported by international research, a global survey of practitioners and a wide range of case studies from all over the world and provides practical tools to improve work zone safety and management across different contexts.
