  • Definition : Application of a consolidating structural device to transfer destabilizing forces induced by the weight of a sliding mass to the stable part of the soil, through an anchor mechanism. Note: this results in the creation of a sizeable mass of solid soil with guaranteed stability characteristics.

  • Definition : Anwendung eines verdichtenden Baugeräts, das die durch das Gewicht einer Gleitmasse verursachten destabilisierenden Kräfte mit Hilfe eines Ankermechanismus auf den standfesten Teil eines Bodens überträgt. Beachte:
    1. Dies mündet in der Schaffung einer ziemlichen Masse fester Erde mit garantierten Standfestigkeitseigenschaften.
    2. Es wird unterschieden zwischen passiver Bodenvernagelung, bei der durch dier bloßen Anwesenheit des Geräts und der maximaler Reibung, die sich während einer Verschiebung entwickelt, Kräfte übertragen werden, und aktive Bodenvernagelung, bei der das Gerät vorgespannt ist, um jede Verschiebung zu verhindern.
