Dotée du statut consultatif auprès du Conseil économique et social des Nations Unies, l'Association contribue à un développement mondial stable et durable du secteur routier et du transport.

Le Transport rural, élément clé du développement

En mai 2002, le Royaume du Cambodge a accueilli plusieurs événements consacrés aux routes rurales.

Parmi ces événements, figurait le séminaire international de l'AIPCR organisé les 15 et 16 mai par le Comité Technique C3 (échanges technologiques et développement) et le Comité Technique C20 (développement approrié) sur le thème : Le transport rural, élément clé du développement.
