The Academy will begin with a pilot program on road construction site safety and management, featuring online sessions from June to November 2026 that will bring together international experts and practitioners.

United Kingdom Hosts PIARC Global Dialogue in 2026
In 2026, the United Kingdom will host four meetings of IPARC Technical Committees, reaffirming its central role in global transportation innovation and policy.
Highlights include a Technical Committee 1.1 workshop in May on public value, skills, and AI, featuring a tribute to Jonathan Spear, as well as a Technical Committee 2.5 meeting in June on emerging technologies for road infrastructure. In October, an international gathering on the sidelines of Highways UK will bring together the PIARC President and several Technical Committees. The year will also honor the UK winners of the PIARC competition for the 17th World Congress on Winter Maintenance, Resilience, and Decarbonization.
