Increasing customer orientation in the winter maintenance of roads

This report, prepared by Committee 3.4 Winter Maintenance, is based on the responses of 25 countries to a survey of organizations responsible for winter maintenance issues.

The information gathered focuses on many topics: how road maintenance is provided in winter, levels of service and categories of maintenance defined for the various types of roadway, communication in the area of level of service and driving conditions, and studies conducted on the expectations expressed by the users.
