ITS have entered the Second Stage in Japan

This article describes the rapid growth of car navigation systems, VICS and ETC, and the causes of this growth and also reveals the effects of these systems. Next it explains efforts to realize "Smart Mobility for All" that has been announced as the goal of the second stage of ITS.
