graded aggregate bound with cementitious binders

  • Definition : Material obtained by treating a selected aggregate or an ''all-in'' of natural origin, which may be totally or partially crushed, with a cementitious binder. Note: the material should comply with a specific grading curve, with a specified density and with a specified compressive strength. It is mixed in situ or in plant and is used in base and subbase layers.
