accelerated polishing test

  • Definition : Test in which samples of a coarse aggregate are subjected to accelerated polishing on a test machine using a rubber tyre and an abrasive mixture at the tyre-stone interface. Note: after abrasion, the state of polish is measured with a British pendulum tester.
