- Definition : Surface irregularities of a road pavement with horizontal dimensions ranging between 0.5 and 50 mm and vertical dimensions between 0.2 and 10 mm.
Note: macrotexture is related to aggregate size, mixture design and laying (compaction), as well as to the surface treatment applied (if any). It has wavelengths in the same order of size as tyre tread elements in the tyre-road interface.
