With consultative status to the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations, the Association is contributing to a stable and sustainable global development of the road and transport sector.

    EU Transport Commissioner, Adina Vălean, described the transport system as a backbone that connects European citizens and businesses.     This article is based on the PIARC Special Project “Smart Roads Classification” which was funded by PIARC with financial support from Spain, Belgium, Canada-Québec and the USA.
