The PIARC Technical Committee C.4'Road Tunnel Operations', in conjunction with ITS Argentina will hold an International Seminar on'Tunnels and ITS Applications'. This will be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina from 23 to 26 March 2010 at the Sheraton Hotel & Convention Centre.

The seminar will provide a forum for :

• Promotion of tunnel technologies
• Exchange of knowledge, ideas and proposals from professionals, businesses and government authorities
• Sharing experiences

Topics include:

• Road safety in tunnels
• Tunnel construction methods
• Integration and data exchange of control centres
• Evaluation of ITS projects
• Standardisation and certification of ITS systems
• Management of emergency situations with the assistance of ITS
