Mrs Anne-Marie Leclerc has been elected President of the World Road Association (AIPCR/PIARC) for the 2009-2012 period

At its meeting held in Marrakech (Morocco) on 29-30 October 2008, the Council of the World Road Association (PIARC) unanimously elected Mrs. Anne-Marie Leclerc (Canada-Quebec) as President.

Mrs. Anne-Marie Leclerc is Québec Assistant Deputy Minister of Transport and General Director for Infrastructure and Technology. She will succeed the current President of PIARC, Colin Jordan (Australia), as of 1st January 2009.

Mrs. Leclerc has been a member of the Executive Committee since October 1998 and Vice President of the Association since 2004. She is also Canada-Quebec's First Delegate and Vice Chairman of the Quebec Committee of PIARC.

Olivier Michaud (Switzerland) has been nominated Honorary President. Oscar de Buen (Mexico), Keiichi Inoue (Japan) and Marc Papinutti (France) have been elected Vice-Presidents.
